Pink Parrot started in May 2018 as a mobile painted pottery business offering handprint keepsakes to various local baby groups and venues in the Colchester area. After the birth of her daughter, founder Lucy Weaver left her previous career of 15 years as a school teacher to pursue a more artistic outlet and has never looked back!

In March 2020, Lucy managed to secure the lease on a new studio and quickly transformed it into a creative space with a retail area for local crafters and plenty of space to offer a range of different workshops throughout the year.

​

Unfortunately, two weeks after signing the lease, the UK went into Lockdown! However, the business carried on through takeaway kits and seasonal craft kits and a year later, opened in June 2021.

​

Since then, the studio has grown and developed, now offering a separate party space and welcoming a clay-building studio in the adjoining space.
